As with any surgery, you need time to heal. But you won't leave our clinic without teeth! A permanent or, in some cases, a removable temporary dental prosthesis will be placed on your implants. After the healing process is complete, your permanent teeth will be placed at your second visit, about three to five months after surgery. We will make you feel comfortable in terms of aesthetics.
In most cases, an implant can be placed and a temporary tooth made at the same time as the extraction of the tooth. In cases where tooth extraction is not required, implants are placed directly into the jawbone and need to heal for several months before the dental crown is placed. Dental implant treatment usually takes approximately 3 months in the lower jaw and 5 months in the upper jaw for the implant to fully integrate with your bone. But everyone heals differently.
